2022 ACA Reporting

Our ACA team is available to offer assistance as you prepare for another ACA filing year. Please review the deadlines and resources below and contact us with any questions at aca@inovapayroll.com

Important ACA Service Information

Because Inova Payroll has no knowledge of your insurance plans, we are not able to determine, or assist you in determining, the information required to complete ACA forms 1094 and 1095. If you are unsure which codes to use when configuring employee ACA data, you may need to contact your insurance broker for assistance. If inaccurate or incomplete ACA information is configured, your reporting and filing will also be inaccurate and could subject your company to penalties imposed by IRS.

Inova Payroll will produce and file the applicable  forms 1094 and 1095-C for your employees and your company. Your company is responsible for the reporting of accurate data on these forms and all questions, issues, or errors related to these forms are the responsibility of your company. Inova Payroll assumes no liability for the accuracy of these forms and is not responsible for any penalties associated with inaccuracies. Changes required after filing of the forms will be performed by your company, or if performed by Inova Payroll by mutual agreement at that time, will be subject to fees payable to Inova Payroll.

IRS notice, Letter 226-J

Please review the resources linked below if you receive IRS Letter 226-J, the initial letter issued to Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) to notify them that they may be liable for an Employer Shared Responsibility Payment (ESRP). It is recommended that you consult with your broker and legal counsel for guidance on a response to the letter and any corrections that may need to be made. It is important to complete and submit the response form to the IRS by the date indicated on the letter. If you do not respond, the IRS will send a demand for payment notice for the amount on Letter 226-J.
